About Dr. Crissa Stephens (she/her/hers)
As a coach in the Washington DC area, my role is to help you gain deeper self-awareness, navigate challenges, and unlock your full potential. Over the years, I’ve found that understanding the different ‘parts’ of ourselves—our motivations, fears, and protective instincts—can lead to profound personal and professional growth.
With a PhD in sociolinguistics and extensive experience in personal development, I bring a unique blend of academic insight and practical wisdom to my coaching practice.
I take an IFS-informed approach, which means I help clients recognize and work with their internal dynamics — think of the driven part that pushes for success, the cautious part that avoids risk, or the self-critical part that holds you back. Coaching isn’t therapy — I don’t diagnose or treat mental health conditions — but rather, it’s a structured way to build:
- Self-leadership skills
- Emotional intelligence
- Decision-making clarity
- Authentic leadership style
Through structured conversations and reflective exercises, we explore how different aspects of yourself influence your personal and professional life, helping you create more internal alignment and reduce unhelpful patterns. I can’t wait to help you get started!
