About Yangyi Chen (he/him)

As a practitioner, I treat each person as a dynamic being connected to the larger picture. I treat one person at a time and stay with the patient, applying several rounds of therapeutic actions over one appointment. I stay curious about what is most effective for each patient and use that as a leverage to help them “get unstuck” and feel more like themselves again.

I received my BA from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and my Doctorate of Oriental Medicine from Maryland University of Integrative Medicine, formerly Tai Sophia, where I studied Five Elements Acupuncture and Chinese herbs. I apprenticed with Deborah Earley of Earley Wellness Group and learned specialization in treating patients with chronic pain. I also studied trauma healing with Alaine D. Duncan in her Tao of Trauma program.

Outside of my practice, I love spending time in nature with my wife and baby.
